Yeah it does! From what I've been hearing the models are still in their early stages.... I think they look too smooth myself... but the level of detail (environments) is amazing, and well what can I say about the lighting!!

This game looks almost has good has S.T.A.L.K.E.R!!

Thanks Guys.. tried all those my m8 was one of the developers on the game and he suggested similar things........

I think it might have something to do with DirectX 9...... when will I learn...

However, I have used the same testure in my new map and it seems fine... so it's either a duplicate ...

Yeah, I tried that too..... but then my old machine has several new maps (or custom pk3s)... again this is not a problem on the other machine(s) on the lan... Just mine.

I'm using Detonator drivers 41.09 and DX9... this is also the case on all other PCs...........

It's P*ssing me off!!! :x

Strange happenings????

OK Folx!! Here's the question...

On my old PC this does NOT happen.... however on my new PC

XP Pro (SP1)
Athlon 2600XP + Gigabyte KT400 MB
GeForce 4 Ti4800 8x AGP
512 (PC333 mem)
etc.... All running on 333mhz etc...

When I play a map that uses the grill texture (i.e. Stalingrad Metal stairs) the ...

OK slightly off topic but, I've got a new PC and installed MOH:AA and SH.. I set-up a game (MP) and I get the following on the bottom of my screen:

NPCS: Allies 0(0) Axis 0(0) <--- constantly!!

In my CMD list I get:

LOCALIZATION ERROR: 'NPCS Allies 0(0) Axis 0(0)' does not have a ..... blahblah ...

LOCALIZATION ERROR?????

OK, I've got a new PC and installed MOH:AA and SH.. I set-up a game (MP) and I get the following on the bottom of my screen:

NPCS: Allies 0(0) Axis 0(0)

In my CMD list I get:

LOCALIZATION ERROR: 'NPCS Allies 0(0) Axis 0(0)' does not have a ..... blahblah

Any ideas guys.. the other PCs don't get ...

OK, Snow/Rain... when creating either, you can approach it in a couple of ways.... One is to create many brushes at angles (randomly angled near each other).. not placing them in building entities or create large brushes to fill the gaps between buildings etc... if you place a weather effect brush ...

I agree, viruses can creep into just about everything. But if you have the sense to have a good virus detection proggy.. then you have no probs????????????? Most software these days comes packaged up, does this mean you don't trust anything?? I'm a developer and I package stuff up all the time... it ...

ALLO! ALLO!! von Klinkerhoffen.... These programs actually keep everything entact.. i.e. you can still see the .PK3s etc... the EXE is just an installer to save those without the know how to install software just like you get when you install a game. e.g. File list:-

SETUP.EXE <----- the install ...

NPS :wink: Although I do agree I think you are limited to te VIS_LEAFGROUP amount.... but I think the bounds are pretty good anyhow...... I know that the engine was improved for SH so that larger maps could be designed. Basically the old Quake3 engine was developed on old GFX card technology so map ...

Well, to be honest.. the only limit is the size of the starting grid in SDK a total of 16384sqr Grid size.. but you'll need to use VIS to help cut the FSP down.... You are only limited by the Editor! Have fun!

I remember seeing a tut for this and it was all done with scripts (like just about everyting in MOH!). Unfortunately I can't remember where, If Toby reads this he'll probably post it for ya!! TOBY!!!??
