No, I wanted to do a complete manual vis but the outcome of the visible polys was much larger then an auto vis and it already yook 2 days to compile so I thought forget about it.

Next environment I will do a manual one as I know it will improve although compile time might increase.

That is true, you will be aware of the overtime involvement and it does actually pay off "IF" you manage to stay untill the end of a certain project.
If the project you have been working on is successfull then you will be paid a certain ammount of profit if you invested allot of time in it.

It is good to work in the gaming industry but not when a publisher like EA is funding the project.
I have worked for Criterion games on the game Burnout 3 with EA being it's publisher.
They are living hell, they run the show, tell you what they like and what they want.
They can easily do that ...

I guess because you are spawning a model there and not a world brush.

MS is very light, mostly meant for anims and not modelling. i suggest gmax or 3dsmax for taht kind of thing. 3dsmax is premier, it's what all professional companies use. only difference between gmax and 3dsm is gmax doesnt allow skinnning. not a bad deal for free. :wink:

Yes, i think Scorpio Midget wrote those and anything linking to his site seems gone.
I think with this exporter you would only be able to export single bone meshes or meshes without weights as ms does'nt support it.
