Chantilly Map Released!

Hi all again!

I am glad the site is online again. I have good news! My map is available for download at those spanish clans homepages :

The map is on rotation in a couple of servers and will be on another one soon. It seems everybody likes it!!

Of course I have that in mind, that's why I have the vis leafgroups and the details, fps are ok on all cpu's (except real crappy ones) :wink:

New pc, new fps

Hi again, I'm back from holidays and with a new computer. This time I got myself an AMD Athlon (64 bits technology processor), 3.2 Mhz.
First thing I did was checking my map (couldn't wait after 2 weeks) and...
Guess what I saw... Fps don't go under 100!!! and easily reaches 200 and more, amazing ...

One last question... Do the Coronas produce light? I mean, do I have to add the light entity also? I just ask because as you know I could test it but that would mean another compile.... :?

Hi all!

I have tried to make electric posts for my map. The post itself... easy.
But how about wires you can jump on?
I just can't figure out the proper way to do it. After 2 wasted hours, I decided to ask for help. As this is a very common element in mapping, I bet one of you must have a prefab ...

Candles

Hi again guys 8-)

Well I would like to know how to make wall candles lit properly. Take a look at the screenshots, first one is mine, second one is taken from southern france stock map.
I do place a light but.... The effect is slightly different from the one I expected. Any suggestions?

Well that brush can't be detailed, it's a wall...

My video card is Nvidia fx 5700 /256 mb ram, runs mohpa and farcry with no problem.

I will try "final" light compile see if it works :wink:

I can try also the vertical cuts.

I also substract (basically for windows). But you get the same number of brushes anyway...
