Well i think i might have found the problem.... Q3map.exe

If I compile the example maps with the Q3map.exe from the AA SDK all is well and they work as they should, even my test map works.

However if I compile them with the Q3map.exe from the SH SDK I get the hall of mirrors effect.

I reinstalled ...

Viper - yes entefs.pk3 is there ;)

Bdbodger - yes i tried deleting the script_object and sky_origin and redoing them, still no joy.

I did have a look at the yours and JV's maps and in Radiant there is another sky_orgin....it looks to be made of a brush and is not an entity.

Viper yes there is a light entity in the map.

I looked at the example and the .bsp runs fine on spearhead, however if i compile the map from the .pk3, exactly as it is, I get the same thing
as in my screenshot above...any ideas?

Does the method differ for Spearhead as I followed the above tutorial, compiled my map and got a lovely hall of mirrors effect.

The message in console was

'Sky being drawn in a Skyportal! Bad! Bad!'

type in console

rcon say XXXXXXX

where XXXXXXX is what you want to say..for example

rcon say Welcome to my server

would show the message

console: Welcome to my server

in game.
You need to have rcon enabled and the rcon password entered.

Tram Siege for Spearhead

Yes my new map is finished..Tram Siege from Return to Castle Wolfenstien is now playable on Spearhead :)

the Allies have to steal the secret Axis codes and transmit them back to Allied HQ.
The Axis have to stop them.

Make your changes in radiant and recompile.

I think there is....if you have a 'MAX_SURFACE-INFO' error during compile it means you have too many custom shaders.

This is related to textures as each texture has a shader.
Lots of custom textures = lots of shaders and the possibility of the above error.

but surley there must be a way to import just the basic brushes of a CoD map and not the extras like patch mesh terrain?

Obviously the textures wouldn't be there or the models, but the structural brushes would be.

is there a way to strip the extras out, other than editing the map file in notepad ...

Import a CoD .map into MoHRadiant?

Is it possible?

Out of idle curiosity I tried importing the Dawnville.map that comes with
the CoD mapping tools but it failed.

So is it possible to edit a CoD map in MoHRadiant?
