Hahaha bringing a year old thread back from the dead. Just wondering if anyone was still working on this, or not? Just reinstalled MOHAA, and thought of coming back here to see if anyone was still doing anything for the game.

Binaries

OK, I decided to release the first binaries for windows.
They are from current SVN revision 73. You can find them on our SF project page: http://sf.net/projects/openmohaa

just extract the zip, put the mohaa pak files in the main directory, then start openmohaa.exe

i'm not familiar with blender, but i assume it is possible.

i second that

+ along with the openmohaa client we get open server source code. i'm not sure whether we can get it good enough to totally replace the original one, but if the result turns out to be anything near suitable, we may add any kind of cheat-protection we like to it.

as he said, it's not about optimisation right now.
our current job is getting the format specifications right. and the quake 3 code gives us quick results.

i'm still working on the server net code.

by the way: interesting that the light spots are part of the model. wouldnt have expected that. but it makes sense somehow :)

the picture doesn't work for me. img199.imageshack gives "connection reset by peer".
but its a hell of a good piece of news anyway!

the server net code will be done, soon.

about the code base (irrlicht vs. Q3 base): this is a decision yet to make and i think it's too early. we still dont have a full understanding of skc and all the other ...

ok now i got what i wanted. the connection is stable. i had two oversights in my code. check it out from the SVN. that's it so far :)
maybe some day the models work, too.
