Smoothing groups problem
I am looking for an explanation/fix for why the texture or faces on the handle of my M16 have certain faces that light up, or go dark depending on how the lights hit it. I took off ALL SMOOTHING GROUPS on the handle (piece with green elliptical around it). None of these faces are being smoothed yet ...

The main inconvenience I find with this issue is that I cannot see what a texture will look like in the map until I compile the map, open MOHAA, and actually go into the map in my LAN server. Textures not seen in viewbox when applied
When I make a brush and apply a texture to it, I cannot see the texture. All I see is a red see through box with no texture. It looks like this from the time I draw it. Screenshots are attatched. Does this have to do with me using Windows Vista? Or are my settings incorrect?

I have made a rifle and am trying to replace the M1 Garand with it. I know that you need to do something special with the bones in order to make it show up... as of now, I cannot get the weapon model in game to replace the m1 Garand... When I try, a weapon model does not appear.

My weapon is a pistol in place of the kar98. I am wondering how to make it so that there is a seperate sound for each rechamber and for the full reload.
