I used this wash textures but it doesn?t work. I don?t know how they animated this washing thing ingame, because in my map this wash thing just do nothing. Even the black parts of the texture is remaining ingame :( .
Does anyone knows what effect to use?

Thanx, but I have fixed it by myself:D.

I put an "exec global/forceanim.scr in the script and it worked, hurra!

hi,

i?m also trying to give the ai some animations, i tried out tltrudes and mirkes suggestions, but both didn?t work...

I?m using it in a map called test_anim.map and the console told me something of NULL applied to no listener or somehting like that...

Anyone know the answer?

Triggering events?

Hi,

How can I create events (e.g. a tank drive by) that only start when triggered? What should I add to the script and to the map?

Other question: How can I make sounds playing the whole time in some parts of my map (e.g. the sound of rain falling on a roof, the sound of a camp fire)?

Spawning and alarm systems

Anyone knows (Wombat, please help;)) how to setup the alarm system? I want to use it in a sp map: As soon as the alarm rings thousands of enemies spawn to chase the player. But neither the alarm system nor the spawning work in my map. Can someone please please please make me an example map?

I have solved the problem myself and want to share my sucess with thoose, you have the same problem

It seems as if the mapname correspondent with the use of ai. Just like the sound. If you give your map a random name, you won?t here any sound. Placing a "dm", "moh" in front of your mapname, you ...

To fit the texture to the curve I use the "set" option: the first to 1, the second to 2. The inner side still looks squeezed but the outer one looks much better...

it?s me again:). I have a problem with the AI ingame: They just stand around waiting for their death allthough everything is set up properly (i used the tuts from mohrad:)).
Now, I opened up the console while playing one of this maps without artifical INTELLIGENCE(!!) and it looked like this ...
