Anti Camp Spawn areas only

Hey all, been a long time since I have scripted and forgot most of it.

I want to implement anti camping at spawn in a few maps. Not like what Admin Pro does.

What I am looking for is after 2 minutes have passed and you are still at spawn, I would like 10 health to be taken away every 5 seconds ...

I was disappointed to learn that jv had stopped by to play on our server while I was away... maybe next time I can shoot you out of the sky!

Been running a server for years now. However moved to a new host.. Killerpings.com

As a matter of fact a section of my map is an underground area. I have 20 lights where I spawn coronas, because I have a script which will make them blink at random times... and they all work just fine. It's only the coronas that are static which are not showing when run from mohaa.exe. They show up ...

I had the same thoughts actually... so I removed every single custom skin and map and mod except for the pk3 of the map file I am currently building...still no coronas.

Realize too... that as I was buiding this map the coronas were there. This occurred all of a sudden during a compile after adding ...

An update on this situation. I did what u said tltrude and they are listed in the entity info in radiant, and they are physically there in the .bsp when viewed with wordpad.

If I go into mohaa and start a game and choose my map, the coronas are not there.. none of them anywhere.

From what I have learned in the past... winding errors are often because it could not find 3 points on a plane. Try selecting the sphere, set the gridzise to 1, and hit Ctrl+G.. .that will put all point on the grid. Then see if it works, if not then I dont know. Or maybe make less sides.. I dont ...

Nope no errors of the like.... is there a maximum amount of coronas or rather entities that can be used in a mohaa map? Giving the 407 lights... that would be one light fixture, 1 corona, and 1 light entity for each..right there that's 407x3. Then some of these lights are spot lights adding yet ...

Ok good explanation and it is what I was thinking too.

I only wonder why the devs used nodraw on the stock maps like they did. They used it extensively on brushes that would never be seen, such as the backside of walls, under the ground, all over basically, and then also used caulk in other areas ...

So would it be safe to assume that nodraw is best for detail brushes and fence masks, while only use caulk for structure?

Is there any kind of a performance hit with nodraw vs. caulk?

I elaborate a bit more....

Does the engine draw both caulk and nodraw in the same way?
