Terrain through skybox

I made a small scene with just a bunker room and stuff. I put a sky box around it etc.

I put some LOD terrain on one side, and it obviously had to go through the sky box. When I run the map, I can see the terrain go through the sky box.

But ... while we are on the topic :D

HAH i laugh in the face of .map and their team of 2.

Um, I dont know how big your team is but you have next to nothing for MOH mapping tutorials. .Map's team of 2 has way outdone TMT by far.

Also, Im knew to .map and TMT ... so if this is just friendly ...

I think I may be way late on this post, but go with the new radeon 9700 pro. It stomps the best GeForce4 in almost every benchmark. I have the 9700 pro aiw version, which allows me to have some awesome video capabilities. Plus the 9700 Pro has 128 MB unboard, unlike the geforce 4's wimpy 64

it shouldnt have anything to do with the way you recorded it, as long as its recorded at a normal level.

My guess is that its something in the scripting. Maybe certain noises (if set with certain properties) are made to be quiet, sort of like a background ambient noise.

hmmm, that is damn weird. Does it work in other places on the map, like do you have other ladders?

Just build a random platform in the map somewhere else to see if its maybe a location specific problem.

well there has to be some brushes in your map! or there wouldnt be anything to see lol

If they are really big planes, maybe your LOD terrain isnt fully "crack" free. Im assuming you have a sealed skybox around the entire map, and that the floor of it has some kind of texture.

LOD Terrain, too much?

I went through the tutorial for LOD terrain and such. I then searched through the forums for a bit.

Does a lot of LOD terrain cuase your map to run slower? Is there any negative effects of having too much?

And is it ok to overlap it with stuff such as brushes or other LOD terrain?

Its caused by overlapping brushes I believe.

notepad is evil? your crazy. I have always used notepad, and it works just fine and dandy. I can see how other notepad progz could be more usefull with extra features, but notepad doesnt actually cause any problems does it?

Just crank the ladder brush up higher, like 10 units above the ladder itself. See if that helps

Just create your own texture, and a new shader for it ... viola!
