Hint brushes explain proper use pls
I think we all need a better understanding of hint brushes to lower our fps,can any1 explain this in simple terms(i know it aint simple but...)
for instance,if u got 2 rooms connected by a door where is the correct placement and how should the hint brush be constructed so as you dont draw the other ...

Well cheers for the reply and as i said i dont use CSG cos of the reasons that you have stated but it does seem that for the mundane things like doors/windows(simple shapes) it is feasable that u could use CSG without any major problems.
Dont know if this is right and maybe it needs to b tested but ...

O.k i hear lots n lots of things about the negativity of using CSG and i accept your supirior experience and knowledge surgeon but i have heard somewhere that if u use CSG when u r following a grid tightly i,e not for instance when your "offline" by that i mean on the grid,then u get no probs is ...

in reply to 3: u have to have an info player start to get u into the map after that u can select info player allied and or info player axis , u can add as many of these as u like ...these will be your respawn ...
