I think I will probably change the name to "Morocco"...I didn't see any other maps with this name. Anybody know if this name is already in use anywhere?

Alright everybody, it's done!

Oops, I wasn't aware there was already a map with the same name. It's probably too late to change it though, since the name is now associated with the map and it's in rotation on some servers now.

I just wanted to ...

why don't you name it "Cover of Darkness", and then just abbreviate it CoD, then people would think its related to call of duty, and you'll get more downloads! Master plan! Hehe.

I do like Casablanca a lot (I will probably end up using that), I just wanted to see if there were any ...

Thanks for the comments everyone! :)

Right now I'm basically done with the map, as far as I can tell. I do have a few questions though...

1. What do you think of the name? " Mediterranean Nightfall" was sort of a working name I came up with. Any suggestions for something more catchy? Or is the ...

I'm tweaking a few last things, so it should be ready soon. :)

I tested it on my brother's 900MHz system with a TNT2 video card and it ran smoothly, so it should work fine for most people, I'd guess. There are some open areas, but I designed it in such a way that you can't see too much at any given ...

Mediterranean Nightfall (DM/TDM)

Here are some shots of my upcoming DM/TDM level, Mediterranean Nightfall. It's pretty close to being finished, I just need to do some more extensive testing and search around to make sure there aren't any mapping bugs lurking aorund. :)

Let me know what you think! (This is my first MoH map, though ...

Yeah, the window textures all look like they are lit, however only some of them actually cast light onto other non-surface-light faces.

I've noticecd that the surface lights seem more likely to work correctly if there are other architectural details nearby. For instance, if I have a window facing a ...

No luck....it still turns out the same. I tried using the -area option for surface lights and I set it to 2.0 instead of 1.0. That made the surface lights twice as bright, but only the previously-illuminated windows were affected. Some still don't light up as expected. Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Lighting Oddities

Hey everyone,

I'm working on my first MoH DM map and I'm having some strange lighting effects. Check out this screenshot: http://www.commandchamber.net/etc/ryan23.jpg

The 2 windows on the building straight ahead are exactly the same, except one is rotated 90 degrees. However, you'll notice that ...
