That sounds very much like the problem I had when trying to use Breakthrough in Radiant - I'd try using the stock Breakthrough textures, set them up as I wanted them in the map in Radiant then when I tried running it in the game they went all tiled.

I never found an answer and no-one here did ...

Couldn't u get the moon texture and stick it on one of the night sky textures and make a custom skybox texture set.

btw the 65 65 70 was just a set of values off the top of my head that I knew would b relatively blueish - it wasn't thought out or tested at all

You can get rid of the sunflare by calling it "none" and still have the directional light source (like the sun). I guess if you changed it to a bluish light, say 65 65 70, then it would look like moonlight.

would that include the clip brushes you put around non-solid objects? In my current map I've used, among other things, a basket - because it's non-solid I've put a wood clip brush around it. Should I make that clip brush a detail?

I had a similar problem when i tried using Breakthrough in Spearhead Radiant. I posted the problem on this the forum a while ago and no-one could come up with an answer and I think the general conclusion was that Spearhead SDK didn't support Breakthrough. Other BT textures don't work and ther's ...

Spearhead SDK is compatible with Breakthrough but I couldn't get any of the of the Breakthrough textures to work properly. When I compiled my maps the BT textures shranka and rotated back to their default setting despite me having set them up nicely in Radiant. I couldn't fix this and none of the ...

it also doesn't work (you get rain inside buildings) if you select all the rain brushes at once then do the func_rain. it all has to be done individually.

nope, I think he might mean the WACO glider which you drop on Sicily in from Breakthrough. Altough those of u who didn't buy it wouldn't know about that... :wink:

It's in (with /maintt as the moddir in Project Settings): addon>vehicle>CG4Aglider*

Still having problems with custom snow

I posted ages ago asking for help with custom snow. I've just got round to trying what was suggested and it doesn't work.

Basically I want to make falling ash from a volcano.

I've got an ash.tga texture in the main/textures/pompeii/ folder
I've copied the textures/snow7 shader from the pak0.pk3 ...

Prefabs

Firstly what are they?
I've made two models - a lamp and a jar - in radiant and saved them as prefabs.

Secondly how do I use them?
Can i load them like static entities in my maps?

I've used them by just opening the map file, having them as a func_group and just copying and pasting the whole group ...

it was both the snow (from directly copying the example script) and my custom ash texture that didn't work.


This is the script that the tut said to replace

Um, I've hit a slight problem: i can't get the textures to work. not even using the script straight out of the tutorial. i just get loads of little white-edged black boxes falling from the sky, not quite the effect i wanted!
