Alpha channels in images/textures are very irritating to me. Everyone always say they're so easy, but then no one offers any help on how to do it, or provide a real tutorial -- the closest I've found is a tutorial on how to edit a sniper scope, and it doesn't deal with modifying the alpha ...

Actually, by posting stuff like that, you could easily get into a hell of a lot of trouble, reguardless if you're kidding. I'd just steer clear of threats, no matter how empty they are.

Oh, come now. These are newbie mistakes.

Are you trying to do a loading screen like what most maps use, with the paper texture, the border, and then the screenshot? Or are you just trying to make it one big picture?
