I have this same problem. And from what I've heard, nearly everyone else does, too. It's not a big deal, usually. As long as you have another window open behind radiant that is maximized (i.e. not in window mode) then you should be fine. It is quite a nuisance, either way :?

Adding FX to a map

Ok, I have gotten certain FX to work in a small test map, and the rest just don't show up. I haven't tried a large number of them yet, but I two that I was able to get to work are Steam -> Piping, and Water -> Falls.
Is there anything special you have to do to get the rest to work, or is it just a ...

Right... well, like I said, I've never done anything at all that involves scripting, so I don't really know what you mean. I can't find any good tutorials on it, so I need to know a brief walkthrough of how to script before I know the script I need to get it to run. :oops:

Why is that?

My friend developed an algorithm for making arches from brushes perfectly everytime, and I've found they are ten times better to texture then patch meshes.

Is there a particular reason why it's bad to make them from brushes?

I used to get it all the time. Then I realized that in MBuilder I was setting "Game Directory" to the "main" folder everytime. This was causing some serious issues with my map. Player-clip was clipping bullets as well, water was coming out as a solid object instead of looking/acting like water ...

Er... what do I do then? I don't know what else to do, since it's stopping bullets. Maybe I'll just fool around with playerclip some more, I may have goofed somewhere :roll:

All the different clip textures...

I noticed tons of different clip textures in the common texture set. Which would I use if I wanted the player to clip but not bullets? I tried playerclip, but it stops bullets too... any help? Thanks.
