Couldn't you have something like:

local.flak88.angles = local.target.angles
to the gun look the same way as the player? Just a thought..

Hi guys, I would like to add a searchlight to my map that follows the player if they enter a certain but then go off after a second or two. For example, if they run along a certain bit of balcony the searchlight switches on, follows them for 1 second, then switches off again. I've tried setaimtarget ...

If you would like a newbies view on the matter ramah (newbies might understand each other easier :wink: ). Couldn't you do something like this:

$slide0 show
$slide1 hide
$slide2 hide
$slide3 hide

if ($shown_slide == 0) // If blank slide is active

$slide0 hide
wait 0.1
$slide1 show

Spawning

Hi, does anyone know any good tutorials, or just tell me, how you spawn thing in through script. I get most of it but I don't understand how the co-ordinates are worked out. Can anyone enlighten me?

i think its to do with the ubersound. If that is the problem it will come up in console. Yes, I'll have a look at your map, not that I'll be able to do much. My MSN is shuriken1@supanet.com, you can send it on that.

Right, it seems I might be able to help as I've just done something vaguely similar with some flak88's.
For the explosion: I followed a tutorial where the explosion effect was spawned into the map by the gun fire script, then removed after the explosion. This is what it looks like:

Where you apply oil in the entity inspector (n) you can put water instead of oil. It says how in the middle box with all the options.
