Anyone else have these probs with the map?

Its hard for me to judge good performance on other users machines as mine is too advanced to give a realistic impression from other users. Is fps generally low for everyone?

Why the map dosnt show in your map list is abit of a mystry, ill look into it ...

Here we go again

OK, ive given up trying to make a loadscreen for my maps, no matter what i try they just fail to work.

Cool, works superb.

I did have to change it too local.church to make it work, also changed the lock and unlock commands around as it was confusing the other way around (typing in lock to unlock the door :) )

After trying for several hours I have managed to get as far as this with the script to open up the church:

church_door:

Ohhh, while were here with this script.

Any ideas why i dont seem able to get the door lock/unlock command to work? Or am i just being stupid and not typing it in console correctly? :roll: :oops:

Just for ease of finding this is the relevant part of the script:

Thx for your help all, error is now fixed and it was the capital L in "level waittill spawn" and ill try the piano script out again, although its just a random bit of the map to be added in.

OK, by making the light -bounce 0 the problems have been solved. There are no no shadow blotches anywhere on the map.

Compiling without -verbose shouldnt and didnt help.

The ground on the effected areas are all brushes, and they are surrounded by LOD terain, which is unaffected by these shadows. But as 1 of the pics shows, its not just terrain, the top of the bunker has these shadow spots too.

Load screen help

Hi all,

Can someone please take a look at the load screen script files for me please, no matter what i try i am unable to get them to work and cannot figure out why.

I have even tried taking the files from anotherworking map and changed for this and it still dosnt work. Been bugging me for ages ...

1. make your door a script object with a name door1
2. make your destroyed door script object with the name door1_off
3. make a script object and make this
model/animate/pulse_explosive.tik
targetname/door1_pulse
4. make a fx_explosion you choose and give it a targetname/door1_explosion ...

Ive tried making a pile of debris as tltrude suggested but tbh it just looked crap.

I think the explosion i have for it atm is sufficient, its heft enough for my likeling without going over.

As fir the r/l train explosion, that was caused by the chemicals that ot was carrying, not the engine part ...
