Hey, I just discovered that if you do Load Map instead of Open, it'll put the map you load ontop of the one that's already open!

Merging Maps

My friend and I want to build a map together. He'll make half, and i'll make the other half. How do we put both halves together into one map file? There's no select all or merge or anything. Is this even possible?

Alright, when I ctrl-shift left click, it selects all the triangles. What am i doing wrong?

I'm not quite clear on what you're saying.
What I'm trying to do is mold the LOD Terrain around some trenches. The terrain has to end at the edge of the trench, it can't overlap.

How do you shape LOD Terrain around walls and buildings? From what I've seen, you can't clip it.

Sorry to be clogging up the forums with my newbie questions, but these forums are so helpful!

I have a mounted machine gun turret, that can spin around 360. How do you retrict it to a certain angle? Is there a key/value i can set? Thanks!

I figured out what was wrong. I was apparantely using a metal bar texture that was for a flat brush, like if you'd have a bar along a wall that didn't need to be 3D. So I switched to a normal brush and it worked!

Cylinder Problems

I'm trying to make a metal ladder consisting of metal bars. I make the whole thing out of cylinders and put a metal bar texture on it. It looks fine in the editor but when I go into the game, the cylinders are flat and disappear at certain angles! Help!

When I compile my map, it gets several errors saying that light 'leaked'. What does this mean?
In my map i notice that light seems to be 'leaking' through between brushes. Is that what the compiler means? I've tried stopping it by overlapping the two brushes so there isn't any possible gap, but it ...

I put my tga file in mohaa/main/textures/test/ and load MOHradiant. When I click on 'test' under the textures menu, it says that it loads my tga file but it never shows up in the textures window! I also made a pk3 file and it did the same thing.
