i play on the |W*A*R| servers with the clan, like it is hard to tell, the server has the M1 garand disabled :( any way i have almost compleeted building a map for the clan server and wanna know how to change the u.s. M1 garand for the nagant or lee enfield. i have already searched the forum and couldn't find it. 2000 matches on adverage and none what i was looking for b4 i gave up about the time i looked at the 100th match. i am fairly new to mapping so if you could keep it basic when telling me i would be greatful.

maybe i should be clearer, i wanna know how i can change it so the U.S. skins use a moisen nagant or a lee enfield instead of the M1 Garand.
can someone please help me it is all i have left to do on my map now except for try to figure out why some can see my sky box and others can't.

I have a kar 98 to Lee Enfield for AA. I might be able to convert it to the M1. Just give me a little time.

I have it converted and everything works except there is a little bug. Because it is for a semi-automatic weapon the bolt doesn't move in between shots. But I have set the fire delay so it is the same as with the bolt. The bolt opens when all of the bullets are gone and reloads. The reload sequence is perfect just not in between shot. I will have to look into the state file for the bolt to move.

i have been looking all over the net for this info and i have seen other custom maps do it. what file is it i need to script. it is the mymap.scr file or is it another file that you are playing with.

What do you mean? what file do you need to script. The thing I have is just a pk3. I could give it to you but I need to ask someone about the state file.

oh i see, i thought it was just a case of rescripting a file. i didn't think there was so much work involved in it. thanks heaps for this man.

No problem. One other bug I noticed. The bullets dont show when they are being reloaded. Probably state file prob but... I will give it to you when I fix the bolt problem. I could give it to you now if you want to try it.
<edit> I fixed the bullets not showing when reloading. And the kar98 skin didnt used to show up. I made it so it is perfect. Everything works except the bolt although I have set the fire delay to be the same even with the bolt not moving. I will dink around with the state file to make it move.

I have the bolt fixed and all is well. This is only a clientside mod if you want to see the bolt moving when the rifle rechambers. That means that everyone will have to have it if they want to see the bolt move and the shell eject. I think you could make it serside but your gun would disappear for a second when you rechambered. I didnt figure this out by myself, I had a few guys a TMT helping me on the state file. Another thing, because of some changes the weapon name changes to Mauser Kar98 when it rechambers because of animation purposes and then goes back to lee-enfield. I am working to get that fixed but... I dont know if it can be fixed.

I can not seem to fix the weaponame problem but everything else works okay. I bolt moves a little slow when it is going back in after reloading the clip but everything works fine. I will email to you to try. If you like it you can use it but if you dont... thats fine I had fun converting it. :D

ok in spearhead, if the client doesn't have the mod the gun acts weird like firing by it self and the double firing and if it has the mod it works fine but no one can bash any more with any rifle reguardles if they have the mod or not. in a server where the M1 is disabled there isn't a problem at all just you don't get a rifle if you are U.S. alliance. besides that in allied assult if all players have the mod it works fine, just if one don't the gun acts weird like stated above, but only for them. the slow bolt and the name change aren't an issue at all.

besides that i love it, evens the game right out, looking forward to using it on my next lan with AA

Cant really help you in Spearhead but... For AA I suggest that you just have all players to have the mod. No easier solution. The tiki is from the original enfield and has the bash lines but maybe there is something else.
