I got this error today after cloning some script_objects & trigger_multplies and saving a selected cablespool_full as a static model:

Code: Select all

WARNING: static model brush [mins = (-2314.0 -5120.0 219.0), maxs = (-2393.0 5100.0 225.0)] outside map bounds
Now I have probably close to 100 of these errors. I have so many I can't get to the beginning of the compile.

Are the coords in these errors the actual coords of the static model brush?? So I can find the problems & remove them.

Like I said all I did was clone some script_objects & trigger_multiples & saved that selected cablspool as a static model.

Compiled & was testing my script & noticed this

How do you think I could fix this???

The correct versions of q3map are in the moh and sh sdk's.

Yup. You have the perfectly right version :)

Most likely your paths in MBuilder (if you use it) are not correct, however.

copy and paste

game directory
C:\PROGRA~1\EAGAME~1\MOHAA

compile directory
C:\PROGRA~1\MOHAAT~1

map source directory
C:\PROGRA~1\EAGAME~1\MOHAA\main\maps\dm

this is for mohaa tools// allied asault

and these questions should be in mapping/new post I think. Let us know how you made out

Yes, But I'll use the programs for MOHAA:SH and I know the directory's were good. (I didnt understand that, that was what you meant with 'paths', my English isnt always that good :P)

Also I understand that you think this question should be asked somewhere else but, I did make a map before.. I'm no professional but I know how it works and.. before it did work. But as I said now Mbuilder gives problems (and I thought that was were this topic was about).

I guess I did something wrong in the map (to see from the error) but I dont know what. Here is a picture of it:

Map names are not allowed to have spaces.

new HT map.map = bad

new_HT_map.map = good

Did you use the spearhead compiler instead of the mohaa compiler . The q3map.exe for each has the same name but the one in the SDK directory is for spearhead .

Didn't know there was a difference, I compiled it for mohaa but used the files in the SDK.

You can use the mohradiant in the SDK directory but rename mainta to xmainta or something if you are doing a mohaa map so you don't get any spearhead models in your AA map . It won't work in AA if you do and then use the q3map.exe and mohlight.exe from the MohaaTools directory . Just keep the compilers separate and you will be fine .
