Hope all these questions are not annoying everyone, I do try to 'search' for answers.
I have two separate rooms facing each other a small distance apart. Each room has a door facing the other rooms door with properly functioning areaportals (checked with r_tris). Next a vent system with a bunch of bends was added connecting the two rooms. At this point the compiler is telling me that the areaportal are not touching two areas. Makes sense because of the vent continuity. At first I was going to do leafgroups around the two rooms but if the two doors are open, both rooms would need to be drawn. Then I was going to put areaportals somewhere in the vents. Is there some way to stop the VIS continuity without adding a door or scripting areaportals?
ps before posting, I slipped a couple hint brushes in the vents to see if that would work. nope
leafgroups and/or area portals
