Patch mesh lighting
Will lighting on on this doorway look more normal with a final lighting compile? The bent square cylinders seem to absorb the light.

I decided to do a final compile to see for myself. All I changed was -fast to -final for the mohlight settings. When I compiled, mohlight crashed at 99% on the second pass of radiosity lighting. There were no errors. Does anyone have an idea where I should start to trouble shoot this?

Well I have been stuck on this for a few days now. This is what is happening to me /forum/viewtopic.php?t=11386&highlight=radiosity+bounce except I am not using nogrid and my ambientlight is 10 10 10.
If I compile with -fast -bounce 0, there is no problem. If I compile with -fast -bounce 1, Mohlight crashes (dialog box ... do you want to send an error report). If I cant find an answer to this then I'll probably be releasing with a bounce 0 compile as I have months and months and months of work on my map.
Anyone ... any thoughts
oh and I did a re-install of mohaa tools
also, I can compile a simple box without bounce 0

I really have not notice anything else, so I guess what I see is not a very big deal. One of my concerns is that I was missing out on a look or feel to the map because of the inability to compile radiosity lighting.
When you are walking through the map checking it out you notice the little things, but when the bullets start flying and nades are a popping the details get blurred. My map will be released one way or another.
Thanks for the reply JV

I agree, when I used to map for this fine game many moons ago I found the time taken up by radiosity was simply not worth it and always usedjv_map wrote:Hmm if mohlight is really crashing there is probably not much you can do![]()
I suggest to compile with -bounce 0.
Are there visual problems other than the arches you posted?
-bounce 0.
Not only did it take an eternity but it produced little or no effect improvement as far as I was concerned.
My opinion only and take it as you wish.
