$player IPs

Post by Killerdude »

Is it possible to run a script on the server that will get the player IPs, stuff them in cvars, and be accessible to a client side rcon menu?

Bummer !!!

How about rcon status. Can the results be stuffed in a char variable and then parsed by scripting?

You'll need a third party software for that.
rcon status is not accessible through script.

rcon status IS accesible by script...well a .cfg file anyway thats basically about the same....push a button that executes a .cfg file telling the rcon addresss password then status and when u open console there is the status...has each player IP slot number and port.......thats the only way i know to do it.....just make a .cfg file with the info in it then bind a character to exec whateverunameit.cfg and there u go...then ur clientside rcon menu should be able to go along with the player numbers on nur status......thats how the one i have does

What you are referring to is the command .
He wanted to know if a script could access and handle that info. And it's not possible without foresight or an external program that pulls that info from the server.

I was working on the same thing.
Maybe this helps you:
http://www.modtheater.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27211

I managed to run that little proggy and to list names etc in the console, but wasnt able to include em in a menu.

Elgan said it could be done with some globalwisgetcommands, but I wasnt able to figure that out :(
