If you have a proper skybox in place, all you need do is 'shift+left_click' on the brush which is your top sky. Then with it highlighted, press "N", that will bring up your entity menu. Then enter the information for the worldspawn, which it will default to. Most of the important stuff is listed for you, just pick what you want, type it in the 'key' field and then add your custom 'value'.

Is that the correct way of doing it ??

I normally de-select everything, then press "n", then select worldspawn.

ya know I don't ever give it an entity. I just hit n with nothing selected and scroll down to the bottom of the list and highlkight worldspawn, the I put the values in.

suncolor
30 30 30 (or whatever color and brightness)

sundirection
-35 -30 0 (whatever direction)

sunflarename
sun (either say sun or none; none is obviously no sunflare)

Both ways are correct.... mostly though you could create a small brush (entity) and select that and use it as you worldspawn... but just selecting one of the skybox brushes is just the same
