Multiple Skys Mod

Post by bdbodger »

Multiple skys have been tried before in Mohaa but I have finally done it . Well 2 skys to be exact . In this mod the sky goes from day to dawn to night to dawn and back to day . Wait thats 3 skies isn't it ? Well yes but the night sky actally isn't working . It seems to work because of the moon I added to the map and the custom solid black sky I made . The black sky isn't working but you can't tell because it is all black . That sky could be the mohaa allwhite or allgrey sky as well . Here are some SS's

I have included the .map file and a prefab of the sky boxes . This mod uses separate skyboxes and a script_skyorigin . The main skybox has skyportal texture for the sky . This is a pic of the prefab .

Just put that under your map and in your skybox put skyportal texture for the sky . Create a Script_object and give it the moon texture as I did in the included test map and look at the .scr file of the test map file to see how the skys are changed . Rename the zip file to pk3 and play the FourSkies map in the map directory to see the mod in action . This will be a part of an up coming MRU para mod .

That's sweet :).

Unfortunately the actual lighting of the map won't change, will it?

Nice work anyway 8-)
