Help with Models

Post by PhilsEmpire »

Hey guys,

I just signed up to the forum, and I'd like to ask a question. I've recently just got into using MOHRadiant, and when I put in a model, it seems to show up as a basic prism. I tried compiling it, and it said xxxx.skc was not found. (I have the Mac version of MOHAA, and I just copied the pk3 files on to my Windows partition)

In MOHRadiant, this is what appears in the console.

Code: Select all

Skeletor CacheAnimSkel: Could not open binary file models/static/natural/tree_commontree.skc
TIKI_InitTiki: Failed to load animation 'models/static/natural/tree_commontree.skc' at models/static/tree_commontree.tik, line: 19
TIKI_InitTiki: No valid animations found in models/static/tree_commontree.tik.
I looked around in the pk3 files and I saw a lot of .tik files. I didn't see any .skc files. I need them right?
If it's possible, would it be possible to upload them (hopefully it wouldn't be illegal) somewhere? :)

I'd love to have trees and all that other stuff in my map :D
Thanks VERY MUCH in advance.

I hope I was clear enough.
Phil :)

Edit: Please don't say Macs suck. They do not.

Hi PhilsEmpire,

First off, welcome to .Map. Sorry for the slow registration procedure you suffered, despite triple protection we had a handful of spambots yesterday registering and posting advertisements throughout the forums, so I wanted to check new registrations first before giving posting rights. Well you're clearly not a spambot so that's cool :).

Regarding your problem, it does seem that you are missing some files, or they are not in the right place. Uploading the skc files would be out of the question, not only would it be illegal but the number of skc files is enormous. Why are there no skc files in your pk3s? :? The game needs them...

Gee! Wasn't expecting an admin to reply haha! :o

Alright then, I'll look harder hehe. I have MOHAA Warchest, and that has all of the games. I think I've only checked the pk3 files in the Spearhead folder.

Thanks alot for your reply! :)

Edit: Guess what. I found them. They were in the Allied Assault folder! :D
