Are YOU a MOH Mapping Beginner?????????

Post by Santa's_Killa »

Hi

I was just wondering if there are any newcomers to MOH mapping (like me) who have just started out using Radiant etc. to start making maps?

Edit 06/09/2008

Aren't there any mappers who are new?

I made my first map earlier in the year but what is the point to your post?

The Point

Actually, there is no point really. I was just curious to see if anyone had just started mapping for mohaa, or whether people have given up on it and moved on to mapping for newer games.

I started mapping a few years ago, but never released a map or completed any of the twenty projects I started. I'm unable to map at the moment, but it's really fun and a good creative outlet, you should keep at it.
I'm 16 so I've been mapping for a good 3-4 years or so.
However...theres a lot of frustration involved. Until you build experience it's going to be hard to get any sort of project done without totally screwing up anything. Most of my experience was through trial and error, then I found this site :) and saved a bunch of time.

If you have passion for your map, you will finish it.
Good luck :D

I'm arguably new. Ish.

I actually started mapping for Mohaa about 2 years ago, but always seem to lose interest in a map half way through, so I've never released one out-of-clan. My knowledge of mapping is basic, but I could probably try a few advanced things if I put my mind to it.

I quit playing/mapping for a while, but only recently got back into it because as StarGeneral said, it is a good creative outlet and a lot of fun. I map for the sake of mapping, not necessarily for the sake of playing, as screwed up as that sounds
