My map won't run anymore

Post by Pizzadevil »

Since I did the 'Driving Tutorial 2' my map wont load anymore.

The console says:

'Wrong version number ( 21 should be between 19 and 19 )'

How do I fix this?

Thanks.

I tried to play it in spearhead but it wasn't in the maplist.

I made a new level and got the same error.

I'm making them with the spearhead SDK tools, when I was using the normal mohaa radiant I didnt had these problems...

I saved the new map in the MOHAA radiant and compiled, still didnt worked :'(

Help will be much appreciated.

there is this one thing you do, you open up the bsp with a hex editor, change the 21 to 19, I think the tut was over at MRU

If you have custom pk3 files in your main and maintt, radiant will add the new textures. If you used one of those new textures it might cause a problem. Uninstall all custom files.... maps and mods, remake a map and see if it runs.

Also< I used to use the SH SDK but ran into texture problems when trying to run it on AA. Try using only the MOHAA SDK.

Still no go, or do I have to save and compile them first again?

Use the q3map compiler that came with the AA Radiant (aka MOHAATools), not the one from Spearhead's SDK.

No, PKM, MBuilder is not a compiler. MBuilder is just a front-end to q3map, and q3map is the actual compiler (if you don't understand the terms, look them up in Wikipedia). Configure your MBuilder to use q3map.exe from MOHAATools and not from Spearhead's SDK. As simple as that.
