What is this?

Post by Desert Eagle »

What is this? I have tried everything to fix it. Deleted the ladder, changed the textures a dozen times, made it detail, made it structural, I just can not seem to get rid of it.

The map compiles with no problems or errors.

This is a degenerate plane. Would've expected an error when compiling :?.

Does it still happen when you remove the ladder completely and compile again?

The ladder is too complex. Remove some rungs or use a transparent ladder texture.

JV: no errors during compile. Used fast vis. Only errors are the ones that everyone gets about the map files for static models missing.

No it does not happen if removed or if ladder is caulk. When it does it shoots all the way across the map right through the skybox

Balr14 Ladder is no longer than the ones in the stock V-2 map near rocket . Also which transparent ladder texture are you talking about?

I fied it by cutting ladder in half and then placed one half on top of the other to make one ladder.

Ive had this problem too... it occurrs mist often when making ladders and railings: One ( or more ) long brush with too many brushes connecting to it. And yes, the solution is to divide the "long" brush ino smaller pieces.
