How Do You Create Premade Objects?

Post by HandyTech »

I'd like to be able to create "premade" objects I can just drop in with ALL of the settings including keys (and values) already pre-defined by myself. I would just "import" them everytime I needed a specific object. My first guess is that a "prefab" is the way to go. However, I don't understand really how prefabs work. How can I approach this? The import MUST be able to save every property about the object, not just it's shape. Say for example I create a light with a lamp attached to it. When it's imported it must be attached to eachother so-to-speak just like I created it.

in your mohaa tools folder. Create a folder named prefabs
When you make your desired creation goto file/save as/or save as prefab/ call it mything.pfb.

it should now be in your prefab folder. when radiant is open you can goto file/prefab/loadprefab and you should be able to pick it from there.
