Trigger for door

Post by Wierdo »

Dude, if you are gonna make a single door open with a button, try this:

In the entities window (N) give the door a targetname of door1. Then, select your button and copy it. Make that brush a trigger_multiple. In the entity window, give it a targetname of button1 and give it a target of door1.

If you do this correctly, a red line will appear connecting the door and the trigger.

Better function:
Select your door and bring up the entity window again. Check the box which says "Targeted". This will prevent a player from using the door without pressing the button.

Then, if you wish, there is a button called "Toggle". If checked, the door will wait in either the open or closed positions for the button to be pressed.

That does it.
