Vista & MOHAA

Post by Killerdude »

My XP machine died and now I have Vista64. It used to be I could start my map and have people join my server by IP. With Vista, no one can join. Anyone joining times out with a server does not have localization enty or point or something. My windows firewall has an exception for MOHAA. Does anyone have experience with Vista and know how I can resolve this?

Oof that could be a tricky one. Try disabling the firewall altogether, see if it works. If not, the problem is somewhere else, perhaps modem or router settings?

If you are still having trouble now read this, otherwise just disregard

You need to enable port forwarding on your router would be my guess.
port forwarding enables your router to 'route' signals sent to your external IP address to your Internal IP address used by your router and any other computers on you network. do some searches online to find out how to do this becsuse it is almost always unique to every router model.
Hope this helps!
