editing stuff in a map

so this is my problem, i downloaded a destroyed village map that is really sweet it has new paths and stuff and i just want to remove the machine gun of a freakin tank that is sprayin all over the place and is really annoying also the map is in the night and i want to change it to the original daytime, can someone take the time to explain how to do it or i can send the map file and so that you guys can save time typing what to do....i bet someone can just change those things in two seconds please help

i just want to point out that i want to remove the machine gun, its pissing me off :S
