Mbuilder Compiling Error

Error I get when trying to compile any map.

Line 2 is incomplete?

I understand the LoadPortals: can't read yadda yadda .prt file has to do with skybox leaking issues, but as far as I'm concerned it doesn't apply here as this is doing this with all my maps I try to compile. The skybox is complete, no leaks, used the pointfile feature, nothing.

I also removed all but 1 or 2 of my custom .pk3 files, ones that had a lot of custom .shader files and what not.

My paths are correct in Mbuilder for the directories, never changed them.

Not sure if this has anything to with anything, but my entire "maps" folder is set to 'read-only'.

I searched the hell out of finding a solution for this but couldn't find anything on the Line 2 is incomplete deal. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

That sounds like the .map file got corrupted somehow. You could try to open it with notepad (or something a bit more powerful), and have a look for stuff that's out of the ordinary (i.e. line 2 and further). If you have a .bak of the map or a snapshot, you could try to compile that.

See that's what I thought too, but this happens to any .map file I try to compile. Ones that I haven't touched and that I know work. I'm going to try what you suggested though!

Oops, I missed the 'any' part. In that case, your mohaa installation is messed up. Why not (re)move the final 2 custom pk3s? Or maybe you have a 'main\scripts' folder that contains broken shader files? Can you even run the game (stock maps)?

Hehe I just removed all my custom .pk3's and still a no go. I didn't try any stock maps but my last .bsp file for the .map file in question still runs like a charm. Mbuilder has been acting a little funky I just noticed. I tried setting a different path for my .map files to try and compile a .bak file, but it wasn't changing the list of maps after I close or refresh the list.

*Edit: I removed my .shader files I recently added before the problem so I don't think that's it.

*Edit: You have to close Mbuilder completely after making a path change, whoops!

It's been fixed. I had a shader file that I had named "light". The shader script was correct so I'm thinking you aren't allowed to name a shader light?

Haha well regardless, I chose a different name and everything works perfect now. Thanks for the help jv.
