Just be sure to snap those rotated brushes back on grid!neillomax wrote:if you need to rotate the brushes just a little..... when you hit the rotate button ( R ) hit either cntrl or shift 1-2, or 3, etc. to rotate the brush 1?, 2?, etc........ then manipulate the brush as usual.
When snapping brushes to the grid, it helps if you set the grid to 1 or 2 before pressing ctrl + Gknifepoint wrote:another thing, it looks like the 'snap to grid' function doesnt even work properly, because when im making a roof corner, after pressing ctrl & g the corners are still out of place.
With this method, I can rotate whole houses from 90 to 180 degrees without any problems.

Does anyone know where i can find a texture that stops light from traveling through walls? or is there another way of preventing light from going through?

New Project
Ok, so i have just started mapping and I have finally got a good idea of how MOHRadiant works and i cant decide if a want to start a map.
So i was wondering how active this game still is and if its even worth
the time of building scripting it all?

Yes, the MOHAA community has waned a bit. Hardly any multiplayer servers still use custom maps. However, if you have great interest, dedication, and passion for Allied Assault, start development on your new map! I'm sure many people like me still appreciate new map releases (especially singleplayer releases
).
Just keep in mind that the original game has a bigger community than Spearhead and Breakthrough.
I myself have great passion for building MOHAA singleplayer maps. I have yet to meet another game that offers as much satisfaction.

game may be near dead so to speak but the mapping tool is something to learn that will give great satisfaction when you learn how to make stuff. All these years later I still open it once in a while.
Newer games SDK's all seem to have everything pre made. All you have to do is find it and add it to your map..... almost cheating because you really don't learn the fundamentals. The MOHAA SDH......... you have to make all the structure you see. Time consuming but fun....

Lol, give the guy a break...Rookie One.pl wrote:First of all, wrong forum.
As neillomax and Cpt. Duke said, if you start a map, do it for the fun of it (and you can learn a lot from it too). If you finish it, playing with your friends on your own map is pretty awesome.
Don't expect to attract a lot of attention outside your own circle though, St. Lo and St. Renan are singularities that never seemed repeatable
