Looking for god tutorial on "bending" brushes.

I saw one somewhere, but I forget where. I am making a ladder up te side of building to roof and want the side railing to curveover at the top.

Actually, I ment "good" tutorial. While on the subject of ladders, After my laddrer is made and I creat a common "ladder" brush and set func_ladder, can that be made a detail or can a common texture not be detail?

You cannot bend regular brushes. If you need a curved surface, you'll have to use some kind of mesh. You could try a simple patch mesh or a cylinder. These can be bent rather easily.

A func_ladder is an entity and can therefore not be structural. It's not necessary to mark it as detail.

er, um, meaning .map has a nice [in my opinion] tutorial about arches and curves, goes thru all the neccessary. have fun.
