All of you are talking about making tiki file for the AI to move and making the tanks move and everything blah blah blah. I tried for many hours patiently at home to figure out how the H*ll Small sumo got the Tanks to work. how it is possible for the ai to bend at certain points. How the AI can hold stuff in there hands like when playing cards. And how they wipe there sweat. is there a tutorial out there that someone can direct me of how to actually do all of this?
Like make the right arm of the german_wermchant soldiers bend at the albow about 40 degress then putting it down. How to make the AI try to kick someone with his leg. or have the ai Raise ther arms and aim for your head and the b*tch slap you. If i had some links i could probably make lots of new animations.
So please if anyone has any idea on how to make scripts using the tikis files or have some links i would greatly apreacite it.
Scripting Movements.

Firstly; that is done by animating the bones on the model. The scripts and tiki's just create refences to these animation files.Yarik wrote:how it is possible for the ai to bend at certain points. How the AI can hold stuff in there hands like when playing cards. And how they wipe there sweat.

Secondly, you'd need to make new animation files, you can't script an animation, only tell the AI to play an animation. But you can script the adding of objects into the hands of the AI, e.g. scientist holding a clip board.
Well, there are several script commands you can use, but as far as I'm aware they all do the same thing. I prefer to use anim_scripted. If I wanted a jerry to salute i'd put;
$badguy anim_scripted "salute"
The majority of the animation references can be found in the new_generic_human.tik. This file contians the most common animations. However certain characters, such as the scientist have a dedicated tiki, in this case called scientist.tik. This particular tiki will show you how to add objects to the AI's hands.
All the animation referneces are in tiki files located in the models\human\animation\scripted folder, so just look through them all.
Lastly, certain scenarios such as the cardgame, have there own script file (cardgame.scr) which contains intructions on how to set them up.

I think I knowwhat your looking for, if you study the script I made for "busy" you will see the soldiersare asked to do certain animations. What you have to do is digg around in the pk3 files and find the names of different aniamtions they can do. The soldier saluting is probably the iesiest to change. Just change the script in busy scr make him do some other animation istead of salute, he will do it, what ever you ask. As far as unique animations of your own you need to get into modeling etc.
