Need help with tracing HOM effect!

Post by ShOOtMe »

I made a multi-level structure with a ladder going up the middle. When making the ladder, I did not use any caulk tecture, just the texture I picked for my ladder so I wouldn't have to select all surfaces later to texture. Anyway, I have a type of HOM effect coming off of my ladder. If I am standing in the building holding a weapon, one corner of the HOM locks onto my gun crosshairs. I have no exposed caulk surfaces. HELP!

  1. Type r_clear 1.
  2. Post a screenshot.
Maybe that helps :D

1) What does r_clear 1 do?
2) How do I post a screenshot? I don't have a url to put it to.

sounds like sth i heard before...
maybe your ladder is to long, try to cut it in two pieces

you should use caulk for the invisible parts...

Yes it was me who posted about it in past. I have learned that long narrow ladders or railings of great length will give you that white light streaking across the map. The fix like it said above it to make into several peices
