ok then, here's 1 i should hope i'll get right by now,
1. create the brush with the caulk texture, this can be found in utilities, most doors are made 128 high 64 wide and 8 deep
2. add an origin this will be 128 high 8 wide and 8 deep, this will need to be placed in the door it will pivot from (where the hinges are)
(this will need the origin texture applied all over it)
3. right click on the 2d map and select func -> rotatingdoor
(both the door and the origin need 2 b selected now)
4. add the textures you want for the door, CTRL + F to fit perfectly,
(make sure you don't change the texture on the origin)
5. i really hope you know how 2 make the rest of the room.
6. add lights, add player start and compile, then hey presto 1 working door
(sliding doors are slightly different but that's 4 another day)

hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/
1st make a hole in the wall (128high x 64 wide)
2nd make new brush 128 high x 64 wide x 8 thick
3rd set this brush in the hole
4th texture the brush the way you like (faces that won't be visible should be Caulk)
5th make a brush 128high x 24 wide x 24 thick
6th set it on the hinge of your door, so the center of this new brush is the axis your door will rotate around
7th texture this brush with 'origin'
8th select both brushes and rightclick in the 2D-view on them. A list of entities opens.
9th choose func_rotatingdoor
10th you can: with both brushes (=your door) selected, press 'n'. The entity-inspector opens. Give it a key/value alwaysaway/1 This will let it open always away from player.
then you should give it an angle perpendicular to the door. Some will say now, no you won't have to do so. Okay, that's the way I do it.
Still in the entity-inspector, study the grey field with other keys to make the door the way you like
That's your door.
