looks really really good GIZZY real good job
ACE OF SPADES, don't give up on mapping, stick with it, and never look badly at your map, that's why we have reviewers
when we 1st start a map we have an idea, map away 4 a day, if ur lucky we'll load it back up again the next day and continue 2 edit it.
don't ever feel that it's not "going anywhere", maps don't really look like gr8 maps 2 play on until they have the right lighting, added static entities and many other things,
most people don't add any of these until they are happy with the basework on their map, so it never really has that "edge" 2 cut it with maps that we look at on here, (such as GIZZY's)
these maps really do take time, and aren't really a day long thing, stick with it and b4 u know it ur maps will b shining and we'll all b praisin u
good luck m8

Oh, I won't quit mapping, it's just cool to see other people's work and to know that I might have a cool looking map someday. I just don't have the time to commit to making a great map so I try to fart around making smaller maps to learn the in's and out's of Radiant. A very long and arduous learning process this mapping thing is! Anyway, thanks for the encouragement, and, looking forward to another great map there Gizzy!

Thanks for all very welcome compliments...those are one reason to keep up creating maps...(there are lots more, believe me...
)
Its meant for MOHAA, but it also plays in spearhead. In mohaa the objective version will have a TOW like playing. The further the allies go on the map, the further the axis spawnpoints will retreat...
The outdoor part was made in about 6 weeks. I started with it after the beta release of UTAH. ( A version 2 of this map is currently going through the final compile stages
) There where almost no midnight winter maps so I thought lets build one. But at that time the whole mohaa community seemed to collapse, so I stopped editing the Frozen Treasure map.
When the community started to grow again, my friend came up with a wonderfull idea about making an AMSTERDAM map, called RAZZIA. But with that map I walked into a dead-end street, and I have to rebuild that map cause my visdatasize is 4mb now (it was 7mb!!). (mtex as high as 50!! FPS below 30
)
I was kinda bored of the endless evenings I worked on that map and at that time Zubidoo released his EDERBETA. It inspired me very much and I was browsing my hdd for the long forgotten Frozen Treasure.
Now I am working for 6 weeks (every monday and thursday evening from 19:30 - 24:00 ) on the indoor part of the map. So in total I worked about 12 weeks on the whole map, and I am aiming to finish it of in april... its nearing its completion...
8) sigh...then I can attent to my wife and kids again... 8)
