I mailed GenDeath a link to a map ages ago and never heard anything again.

Reading this forum, you seem to have not many to review the incoming maps.

Nevertheless, I (and probably others too) would love to get atleast a message that a map is received, planned to be reviewed and when this approximately will happen. I think this could be managed, couldn't it?

P.S.: This was the map...

ooh trouble in the ranks, at ease captain

although we would wish 4 things 2 b done as pronto as prontoable site developers, scripters moderations and admin support have a lot of work 2 b doin,

your question 4 an instant reply may not seem out of order but just mind how u ask it, a little tongue in cheek so 2 speak (ooh it rhymed)

"please GENDEATH, could you let me know if you have received my map and how soon it will b coming up 4 a review as i need 2 know 2 base my new map around the good points and remove the bad points from this and upcoming maps, many thanks WACKO"

see much nicer :D
hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/

shame on me.
I must confess, your petition has flowed out of a poet's quill indeed. How lucky I would be to be capable of finding words like yours.
But, I'm hardly able to understand your writing and so much harder it is to find words to express my thoughts in your tongue. So I just can hope for mercy and ask pardon for having been too coarse!
I just learned a new phrase - 'tongue in cheek' - and had to give it a try. Probably failed and made it even worse, though!?

Your map wasn't in the to be reviewed list , but it is now. 8)

General Death is kinda busy with other things, so if you don't get a response from him within a couple of days, please feel free to send the link to the map to any other staff members - preferrably any of the admins.

We don't have a tight schedule for reviewing as all of our reviewers have other occupations outside reviewing maps. Any reviewer can pick a map from the list and review it any time he wants. Thus, there's no way to tell you when the map will be reviewed. It's at the bottom of the list now, but could be reviewed before tomorrow. ;)

Anyway I think I have to apologize

When I decided to start the map reviews I decided that it wasn't fair on the guys who volunteer their time, to pressurise them with hard and fast deadlines..as JV says maps get reviewed whenever we have spare moments in time.......If you send a link in try and send it to a few of the guys - this means that if someone is busy, another person should get around to it...

Your map wasn't in the to be reviewed list , but it is now.

gulp, waiting for the slam now...

Anyway I think I have to apologize

No you don't (all of you)! I'm very glad that you do your job so well and just for nothing!
EA ought to pay your living for this, as they surely sell MOHAA many times just because there's a chance of mapping. And this chance wouldn't exist if there weren't guys like you.

If you send a link in try and send it to a few of the guys

I will in future, but I just didn't know for this first time (well, 2nd time, first map wasn't reviewed either, but that's no bad).
Maybe the mapper could set a link to a new map for review into this forum and one of the reviewers reading it, just writes a post like 'okay'? This way, the mapper would be sure, that atleast his map has arrived and will be done in the next time. Another advantage would be, that the author could write down a short description in a post, so it would be easier for reviewers to decide whether they want to take the job. Or do you download all maps, open up all the readmes and let this info flow into your review-list?[/quote]

Comparing this with your posts, I believe, it would be a good idea to start thinking whether it might be senseful to change anything, in a calm moment?
If you could re-activate the emails in your hotmail-account, you might have maps for review until the next ice-age
