Is this possible?

Post by matt_moh »

I am a begginer at scripting for maps and was wondering if any experienced scripter/mapper could help me with my script. What I want to have happen is once an exploder chunk reaches it's scrip/origin, an fx explosion such as a water splash goes off at that particular origin. I know how to create an explosion at a particular spot but I was wondering if it would be possible for that to happen once the exploderchunk reaches it's target. Any scripts or tips would be appreciated.

Yup, that's possible. You must first create the exploderchunk and it's direction to fly to. Then create an animate-->explosion water (something like that). Give it a targetname. Then in your script, where you exec global/exploder.scr::explode, add this line below it:
$explosionwatername anim start
emd
Live to map, not map to live.

U can make it look like that by creating a delayed exploderfire at the spot it lands ( the explodercunk actually seldom reaches its origin as gravity pulls it downward before it can reach it ).

Check out my tutorial on the subject here... ( and there is actually not much scripting involved )
