AI Voicetype

Post by CHeesER »

Just a question,how do you give your friendly AI a particular voice.I am making a spearhead single player map and I am using the MANON charactor.In radiant when you hit "I" to bring up the AI properties,there is a box called VOICETYPE. This is where you give it a type,but what ?

Is there a way to do this in the map script?
And what are the possible types that can be used?

If anybody knows where to find this info it would be of great help.

Thanks

Voicetypes work with 'magic letter postfix'. For example, common (mohaa)Allied voicetypes are:
a (d-day guy -> "2 mg-42s plus enfilade from that bunker")
f (private)
h (sergeant -> "check the door")
j (captain m3l2 -> "let's check out this house")
z (SAS agent -> "that sign points to the airfield")

However, the game isn't very consistent with this. Meaning that a guy with voicetype 'a' could still say a 'h' phrase. This is because the dialogue animations and sound aliases are a mess. There's no single player voicetype for Manon.
