Anyone here any good? Have any links on how to model and make stuff fly out of the end of your gun and make it move? Ive read on how to create mods thingy but it doesnt really explain how to model.
Why is Ea so secret of there work anyway? I mean Westwood (who made Command and conquer renegade) had TONS of tutorials on how to map model make vehicles bones Ik solvers even gave us an edited version of there Modeller (demo of 3dsmax).
I also believe in the 'open source' movement so I just wish EA would have some source as too what and how they programed there code.

i believe that to protect the intergrity of the game, certain precautions must be taken-in the first year or so
once the fan base levels off, however, mods control the game's life span-open source games gives these mods more to work with, and thus the game lives on
w/o open source, the game wil die out

Thats not true. If they have the source the game will have tons of new features new updates better bigger mods. ID did this. ID software realease the source to there Quake engine and nothing happened. Id didnt die out. Quake is still a very good game.i believe that to protect the intergrity of the game, certain precautions must be taken-in the first year or so
