I understand that you can use the -onlyents switch in MBuilder to compile only your newly edited entities, rather then your whole map, but does this include changes to the Worldspawn entity. I have changed ambient , farplane aqnd farplane_color . Can I use this switch to only compile these changes.
Cheers.

You can only use it to update keys / values for entities. It doesn't work if you've added an entity or modified a brush.

from what I know you can't use -onlyents for any light (ambient) changes to take effect. Don't know for sure, but it doesn't work when I in/decrease my light enitity values.

If you've changed your lights, you'll have to redo the light compile

yes I know, but what about the ambient light? Isn't that "light" too? I meant I'm not sure if that can be changed with an -onlyents compile.

I think it can, but you'll need to relight to update the lightmaps.
