Making a plug-in in for radiant

Post by Yarik »

How do I make a plug in for radiant? I think usefull plug ins would be like a ladder or a staircase or even a functioning door with the origin and rotating door in place. How would i go about doing this?

I think you mean a prefab rather than a plugin. Just select the brushes that make up your ladder / stair / door and save them to a prefab (.pfb).

I also would like to know how to make a plugin for mohr (not a prefab) like Bobstools. In Worldcraft we once had things like spiral staircase plugins and stuff and I'd love to have s/th like this again.

Yes wacko is right I want one to be like a little program so when you click plugins and then select what you would like to do like maybe a door. And it will not only put a door in your MOHRadiant it will ask u specific details like how how blah blha blha. Same with the stairs. GTK radiant for wolfenstein has some.

These are the PLUGINS that I have for mohradiant. I have just zipped everything in the plugins folder including subfolders. Download the zip and extract it to your plugins folder. Some tools are not for mohradiant but still work (more or less).

Ty! I got BobsTools already, GensSurf is new now, but didn't I read here, I shouldn't use it?

Our question, though, was how to program a new plugin. Is there any information to be found somwhere?

Plugins do things you could do manually, but they do it more or less automatically: I'd love one I had in Worldcraft, which asked for inner and outer radius, step height direction and so on and then built a spiral staircase

One could always make a external program that makes a prefab file of the stair for instance. But of course making it a plugin would be nicer. 8)

:oops: sorry

D/l from TheStorm's post, the ones that I use can repair stuff in your map and there are some for ramps and stairs (straight ones, though) and a GenSurf-plugin

One of the plugins that are in my zip file are from fakk2, it will help you to create shaders for textures. I've tried it a bit and it works more or less.

List of zip:

* Fakk2plugin
-- ShaderED (works more or less)
-- Terrain Generator (haven't tried it, not sure it will work)
* GenSurf (ground, walls ceiling)
* Rouge Brush Repair (help you find bad brushes and stuff)
* Rouge Shapes (stairs and ramps)
