Mbuild HELP!!!!!!!!!

Post by nOOb »

I'm a newbie at this mapping thing, I followed the tuts to make the box map but when i get to the Mbuild and I have to hit the refresh maps key, nothing happens! I've taken off all my downloaded custom stuff so it doesnt conflict, and I've gone over all the steps, and I think I put all the paths in correctly, but no maps come up. There"s no error message. Do I have to put in a specific set of paths, or does it vary from computer to computer? I've put all the stuff in one directory like the tut says to. Please respond!

Make sure the map source dir points to the directory where your .map file is (where you saved it with Radiant). Then it should work just fine.

Note that it's not smart to call yourself n00b. You'll find out in a couple of weeks (or some more) ;).

if you change the path 4 the maps file, it doesn't change even if u click refresh,

refresh only seems 2 work when u already have compiler open, create a new map in radiant and then click refresh, it'll add the new map 2 the listbox then, this seems 2 b the only use 4 refresh :(
hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/

after changing the paths in mbuilder, close the program and then open it again. Refresh only works if a new map is saved.

(notice: If the game can't load your map after it is compiled, then manually check the folders for your bsp file and paste it in the main\maps\dm folder. Then start the game.)
