on this occassion hard, yes VERY HARD!!!, you will need 2 get the scripts for the allies/axis using the MG42's there's 1 on here that JV helped with 4 multiplayer,
then if you were 2 hide the MG42 make it a nonsolid entity, and then place the spotlight over the top of it. turn off the firing of the MG42 and bind the light to the gun...
sound easy...? now do the script

Did you try to use the rotatex / y / z commands in your script? For example, if you have a light with targetname 'mylight', type something like this:
Paste this code just below your current script. Below level waittill spawn, start this thread using the following command:

ermmm... ok, i like the idea, but where's it leading?
if you have some1 sat atop a tower with just a searchlight and no gun, then u'd have 2 make at least 1 person stay with the searchlight and shouting at his comrades that he's found some1, therefore needing 2 script in awareness, bind other characters 2 the searchlight guy, and get them 2 react in accordance 2 his light movement.
i'm not sure if you're tryin 2 make a SP or MP map, but 4 the amount of scripting that'll need 2 go in2 it 4 all this and a searchlight 2 follow a path of the player, (not sure if you could use "aimat" if it is attached 2 a MG42 as i suggested previously), but if the enemy was spotted, wouldn't he just shoot the searchight?

you may wish 2 add more script to this like if the player can be seen then find a random integer, if he's spotted then point at player else continue with search path...
not sure if this'll work at the moment i couldn't test it, i've scratched my MOH CD
