Colored Lights and light properties

Post by CancerBoy »

I was looking for some advanced lighting tutorials, but coudln't find much.

I was wondering how to modify the brightness/color/size of a light in MOHRadiant?

I have the Entity window up, with light selected, and I don't feel like guessing the keys/values if that's even how you do it ;)

I'm pretty new, so. yeah.

Thanks.

Give your light a key of "color" and value of a color code.

Like white's code is "#FFFFFF", and black is "#000000". HTML code I think.

With the light selected hit K to bring up a colour palette, choose your fave colour. Hit N when the light is selected, make the key LIGHT then the value anywhere from 1-300. I think 100 would be about equal to a 100 watt bulb.

Hope that helps,

Yes!! Use the "K" and select a color, then you won't have to worry about color codes! About the brightness! If you add a light it will by default have the value 300 (if you don't set anything)

To reduce or increase do as said enter the key LIGHT but you can use values both lower and higher then 300.

Once you got the brightness and colour of your light correct you need to put a corona on it to make it look nice, you can find a regular corona by right clicking in the top view, then go static/corona theres 3 options for coronas in there, if you happen to have red lights you can find a red corona by right clicking in that top view again, then go fx/corona/red.
