just a couple of questions....

Post by General Specific »

just a couple of things i need some help on in my latest map :? :

Fog: i no this requires some scripting but so far i have not been able to locate any tutorials on how to do it

MG42s: i have figured out as much as how to place an MG42, but that's about the extent of my knowledge, i would like some help here.

Ladders: i've been through the tutorial for ladders multiple times but my ladders either come out invisible or don't work at all. (P.S. i might have got the hang of this, but my map is too big for me to find out in a hurry(takes about an hour and a half to compile))

that's about it, i imagine i have probably go the laddrs one, probably just missed something, but anyway, any help will be much appreciated. 8)

1)Fog, do a search first.
2)Mg42s, read the SDK tutorials, there're some cool stuff which you can do with mg42s.
3)Ladders, you need the func_ladder with an angle that is where your player faces, like let's say he is facing north, which is 0 degrees. To make your player climb up from the ladder, north, your func_ladder must have an angle of "0", or "360", the same actually.

You can do small test maps instead.

If your ladder is invisible it's because you are assuming func_ladder creates a physical ladder you can see... it doesn't.
