I was wandering if it will be possible to make a weapon that looks like a needle but GIVES you life instead of takes away life? I mean make a shader to only shoot it like 1 foot away from you? So when Someone calls "Medic" you can run up to them and hit shoot key and it will give them health just like a health pack. Is that possible any one want to start up that project?

yes it's possible, but i don't think you'll find that many peoplw who'll want to play medic in a MP game :(
hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/

I tried medkits like RTCW, but you couldn't recover health when you touch the medkit.

you'll see in the weapon .tik files the bullets do a certain amount of damage, if you create the new weapon, make it selectable with a new key, then give the damage a - figure, then the damage will be reversed (if you find the whole (player.health = (player.health - bulletdamage)) not sure excatly on that but would be something similar) then minusing a negative figure will add the health,

altervatively, if you want some1 to be medic you could give it a spawn point where they would get a new targetname, around this spawnpoint they would carry a trigger with them (binding), and then add in a piece of script
if $medic istouching $player
$player.health = ($player.health + 25) //player health will gain 25 from touching the medic, :D

First of all I need to make a model. Second I need something that will only give health to your teams only. See in MP match if you kill someone who is on opposite team then you can pick his health. Well I dont want that. And I want it to be a separate weapon. I dont want it to overide anything.

bloody hell u really don't want much do ya :P

for you 2 do all this work just so some1 can pick up an injection needle, there is waaaaaayyyyyyyyy too much work involved,

! 1. creating the new anim

! 2. creating the new .tik file

! 3. creating the new keypress (8) possibly to activate the needle

! 4. getting people 2 reply and put u off the thought b4 it gets out of hand

but really tho... it is possible... but do you know what ur letting urself in 4?

also, for this to work you will need to have Freindly Fire on - i'm guessing this would work the same way as a normal gun, of you can't do damage <b>TO</b> them, then how are you going to take damage <b>FROM</b> them? you'd havwe to work out some kind of way of getting around the wjole FF thing, which would probably require lots of scripting and a custom config file, which would proably nee to be server side, and it would have to only allow THE NEEDLE to repair health, otherwise you would have people TKing all over the place, i mean most servers run with FF off, anyway, that's just what i think, but i don't know crap about moddeling of scripting :D :P

it sounds good if you can pull it off, but how are you going to make a whole new weapon class? thats not possible is it? you could override that annoying bazooka.

The bazooka is overridding with a Flamer so I should pick something like the Shottie. I dont remeber seeing any shotguns in WW2
